Gerry has been a member of the Professional Golfers’ Association for over 25 years. He holds a Class ‘A’ Teaching Certificate and provides tuition to local golfers. 

In addition he manages an international property company specialising in sales and rentals. 

The company is based in retail premises in Hillside, in close proximity to The Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

Golf Promotions are heavily involved in working with charities which involve golf. Most recently Gerry has organised events for The Marina Dalglish Appeal and Stan Boardman’s chosen charity.

Gerry believes his playing and teaching experience, the contacts he has made throughout the game, his knowledge of the Southport area and the location of his business uniquely qualify him to provide the highest level of service to both homeowners and visitors to The Open Championship.

Julie Petterson - Property Director

Julie has recently joined the Golf Promotions’ team. She has extensive experience iin the international property sales market. Julie is responsible for assessing and marketing rental properties and  corporate packages.

Andrew Hinds - International Marketing Manager 

Andrew has spent his career in sales and marketing, much of it in golf-related environments. An accomplished golfer himself, he has a close affinity wth The Open Championship, having acted on several occasions as a caddie (unpaid) , including the 1998 Open at Royal Birkdale.
